Portage Update June 2025
The construction project has gotten off to a great start. As we move through the process, Enbridge Gas is committed to providing residents of the town with frequent, monthly updates. Below are some important items to note regarding progress surrounding this project.
As of July 23, 2024, we have 16,224 feet of distribution gas main installed (41% complete) and 3,957 feet of high-pressure gas main installed (30%).
Both distribution mains and high-pressure mains are expected to be completed in August.

Service line sign-up notes
38 residences have signed up for gas service.
Please contact Bradon Swapp (801-391-1369) to sign up for a natural gas service line. Residents can also sign up for service through our rural expansion page (Utah Rural Expansion Program | Projects | Enbridge Gas)
As a reminder, customers will have two years from the time the mains installation is complete to sign up for their service line.
Service line installation will commence after the distribution gas main construction has completed.
Gas service can commence after all gas mains have been installed, the service line is installed to a residence, and home fuel lines are inspected and approved by a county official. In addition, an account and meter set must be set up prior to providing gas service. Accounts and scheduling meter sets can be initiated by calling contacting Enbridge Gas (801-324-2100).
